Mars attacks the Defense, a photo from Ile-de-France, North

Photographer's Note

the scene takes place under the circular canopy of the EDF tower (built in 2001 by Pei, Cobb, Freed & partners).
in front of us : the Areva tower on the left (1974, by Skidmore, Saubot & Jullien), the Total tower (1985, Saubot, Jullien, Menkes, Webb & Zerafa) and then 2 towers of the "Cœur Défense" centre on thr right of the pic (2001, by Viguier).

I turned the picture in black and white and contrasted it a lot to create a dramatic mood, while the flying saucer attacks the area.

super traitement qui donne de l'originalité à ces tours..c'est d'un commun sur TE ces temps-ci la defense!!! ;-)

Impressionnante image de la Défense qui s'apprête à être entièrement dévorée
je serai bientôt le dernier à ne pas être encore allé dans ce quartier de Paris. Je devrais y remédier tellement çà a l'air riche en potentiels photos

funny effect this one, and clever pic..you used the canopy to create the "mars attacks" effect, and the final result is really good, of course thanx to the monochrome treatment I really like here because makes the image more dramatic.

Effectivement, le titre est bien trouvé, et c'est dommage que tu n'aies pas attendu l'attaque! Superbe photo N&B avec beaucoup de gris dégradés.

I like the title and your vision in making this striking image with low pov upwards in bw with portion of the canopy visible resembling the saucer! The high contrast of the buildings make superb highlights and focal of interest. Great graphism, excellent light management and depth. Clarity and texture are superb. My compliments, TFs

Very impressive photo of modern architecture, despite the b&w conversion, that works perfectly here, it has a great "sci-fi" feeling! Great POV, splendid framing and composition, impressive atmosphere!

tu sais porter et rendre un regard personnel (assez expressionniste ici, avec ce n/b contrasté) sur des lieux effectivement très en vogue sur TE et qui sont l'image même de l'impersonnel, où le vent semble avoir balayé l'humain.
