A beautiful sunset snapshot from the lagoon of Rodias at Amvrakikos golf.

In this landscape of rare beauty winters largest waterfowl population in Greece (about 100,000), parked and played around 250 species of birds, found the third largest colony of pelicans in Europe and is considered the best tortoise place in Greece.
The scenery enchants the visitor: the reeds, water lilies and nerokrina, interspersed with salt marshes, open water surfaces and small closed brackish lakes. Crossing the reeds and islands with thrifts, the visitor knows from near the winged inhabitants, where every season is different. The wetland is known for its great fish production capacity.

Hello Danos,
This is an excellent photo. The steep hill and its reflection have created a near perfect triangle, or actually two. In the right half ther are two equally fine areas of blue, although of different tones, with the fine bird perfectly placed in the lower part. It's a very elegant and symmetric composition.

A stunning composition, this place where nature is fully realized.
I really like the diagonal cut of the hillside, reflected with another diagonal line on the water, creating a curious drawing, along with the rushes we see in the background, the foreground wading bird is a perfect complement.
Very nice colorful tones very effective.

Hi Danos,

I'm sure this bird read your note about the availability of fish here, and is now on the hunt. He's strutting around like he owns the place, and without others in sight, I suppose that's true. :)

For a relatively minimal scene, there's ample detail and beautiful reflections to admire. The soft light has also helped to create a quiet mood...just right for fishing I imagine. :) Easy going and aesthetically pleasant, this is a very nice setting and smooth composition.
