Hi George,
always original your shooting. Here the very particular POV gives strenght and interest, together with the way you play with the contrast. Very good picture, good creativity.

Chyba nabrales mnie tym zdjeciem, bo slonisko wyglada jak prawdziwe, i w pierwszej chwili chcialam cie pochwalic za tak pieknie zlapany truch, sam wdziek ! ;)))
Mnie sie podoba to zdjecie, jest zupelnie odjechane z jasnymi budynkami w tle zupelnie sie torsujuacymi , no i ten snieg, czyli mamy surrealizm, slonia w toronto wsrod sniegu i wsrod szklanych domow.
Wrazenie mocne.
Pozdrawiam. G.

i liked your old title better. it was very fitting then (the time of the bailout) and it's even more fitting now...
but yeah, i wonder too: is it an auto portrait? there is something unmistakeably polish in that ellie's features ;))
love the photo

Incredible autoportrait in full action, erected lens :-).
Truly a wonderful sculpture of a great animal, who should never been in any zoo, who should roam free and powerful, taking care of his little ones, love to see the baby behind and all that light, you give it your very own personal touch.

Maybe another version of the same photo, there are details that I had not seen the 1st time - anyway, still the same impact and I really love this sense of "strong visual effect", the beast framed that tight does not seem to have any other escape than to rush into our screens and faces - still very powerful !

Hi,
I knew this picture for long, but never pointed it... I think. I wonder why?
I believe it's everything but obvious that such a sculpture will mostly lead to a good shot. You really gave it life. It's moving... I can see it! And it's coming to get you!
Perfect!
See you George

I came here to find that specific photo. Walking in Barcelona, I found another specimen of that species: the sculpted elephant! :-) Mine was standing on his (her?) trunk though! Sadly enough, I had no time to take a photo, and it would have been difficult since it was night time. Nevertheless, in seeing that elephant, I thought immediately about yours. And about the difficulty to make a creative photo with what is already a piece of art. You achieved it by your point of view, your wide angle use, your play with the white, washed out, background, and your framing.
I was sure I had left a 'critique' in there, but it must have been in the old time, before the deleting of all your photos. Well... It's my pleasure to write another one! :-))
