I thought I would change it up and put up a photo I took last Autumn. Here in Canada we are lucky to get four seasons: winter, spring, summer and fall. In fall, one of my favourite seasons the leaves on the trees change colours. This makes for great photography! For this photo, my dog and I went for a walk up on Burnaby mountain. I brought my camera just in case and lucky I did since I came across this beautiful tree with all its leaves changed into a golden hue. It was a pretty sight to see! Hope you like it.

Hi babe
well, you know how i feel about this photo.
I've told you before i honestly think this is your best all time photo you've ever taken.
and oh yeah, i'm jealous as hell!
but i'm also very proud of you for getting this one!
We'll have to go back here in oct/nov with scooby boy to get another atmospheric photo of it.
the lighting is amazing!!!!

the nature is very beautiful and you have composed the picture in a superb way that brings us very close to the great trees and into the atmosphere of this place. There's great clarity even in the shady background and the view is very pleasant all over the frame thanks to your well balanced lighting. Your creative use of the light is most evident on the captivating luminosity of the foliage on the branches that spread across the frame. I also like very much the richness of the natural chromatic tones and the light trapped behind the trunk of the tree. Congratulations and thank you!

hi tosca,
i love the colours in this picture which have been illuminated by the amazing light on the leaves. the golden tones are incredible. your cpomposition is perfectly balanced with the tree on the left holding the whole scene together. the tree is a wonderful shape with the branches spreading out beuatifully across the photo.

Really lovely shot, Tosca - the leaves are almost glowing with your perfect light management. In fact the whole shot has a really impressive glow about it. Wonderful framing, clarity - all around excellent shot.

Hello Tosca,
Canadian autumn from its best,most beautiful side.I was told,that autumn in Canada is the best time to visit the country and also the most colorful one because of the leaves changing their colors.
You were able to convey perfectly beauty of this time of the year.Another great thing is the lighting.It´s really amazing how it affects the composition and the color saturation.Beautiful,very "atmospheric" scene.

The tree is helping to frame the leaves. The point of view is showing the details of the leaves showing the fall colors. The light of the sun is making the leaves to shine. Have a nice day.

It's the light, mood and what's left to the imagination that shines through! I really like the soft side lighting, the rays thrown out on the forest and the tree in afternoon autumn and I can almost hear the echo that holds the cheery mood. All credit for actually taking the shot in such conditions making creative use of the combination of beautiful light that autumn so often provides and the framing gives it a deeper into the woods feel to it. The colours look pretty good here, totally natural and perfect exposure to catch that balmy light. The sort of shot that I love looking for, very satisfying and exquisite with a sense of peace, space and solitude all in good harmony. Awesome capture, TFS

Hi Tosca,

You're capturing well this nature by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see tree's leaves dyed to autumnal tints and fallen leaves on ground. Main tree is arranged well by a good composition. And, the yellow contrast between leaf in this side and ones in behind gives a delicate feeling.

Yeah you're so right about Canada having 4 distinct seasons, where as we here really only get summer and winter. Our trees are evergreens mostly, so we don't get those dramatic colours. This is a magical shot, the yellow leaves, the carpet of fallen leaves and the play of light and shade is wonderful. An exsuitie photo, congrats.
