Porto,also known as Oporto,is the second largest city in Portugal.The city is located along Douro river.Porto has been registred as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996.Among the architectural highlights of the city is Porto Cathedral,gothic church Igreja de São Francisco,as well as several neoclassical and romantic constructions like
Stock Exchange Palace (Palácio da Bolsa) or the tile-adorned São Bento Train Station.

bella vista dall'alto su Porto.
L'ottima scelta del POV permette di vedere bene la città in tutta la sua bellezza.
Il fiume Douro in FG dà profondità alla scena.
Ottima gestione della luce e ottimo sharp.
Perfette le linee verticali.

Wonderful scenery from the bridge over the magic red-rooftops of Porto.
Vertical view from riverbed upwards through Ribeira to the main old town.
Clear image, nice color's applied.

Hello : Krzysztof,

Is the town of Porto has something to do with Porto wine? Here again I am exposing my ignorance here. The image has a very nice POV. I have never seen this photo as I was not yet a member of TE. The photo is very clear. I can almost count the number of houses in the photo. It must be nice to live on the slope. Red roofs of those houses do make a strong impression on the viewer. So where was this photo taken from? directly across the river? on a bridge spanning the river?

you're shot is incredibly sharp, even in the most deepest areas of the frame.
stunning shot, actually maybe one of your best in terms of overall quality.

What a gorgeous view over the city, this elevated position really gives a great look, a bit of a 3D effect because of the angle. I read your reply to Craig, which is something I will definitely keep in mind if I'm lucky enough to visit some day, because I would love to see this in person! I think your composition is spot on with this one, there's a happy balance between the layers of sky, city, and river. From this height it almost looks like a miniature movie set, or a model. :) A lot of sharp detail and natural color with even light, simply a beautiful result! Thanks for sharing this vantage point, I'm rather enjoying the view. :) Have a nice Tuesday.
