The Silver Star rollercoaster (here) is no longer the star attraction at Europa Park (south-west Germany). The Blue Fire Megacoaster has recently been inaugurated.

Never in my whole life i will get in such a thing, but it's fun to watch and if i look what you made of it it looks great. Sunlight hits the top, first pair of arms are up...ready to go down, very good timing. Like also your framing, the structure creates perfect lines and the blue sky in the back with some cirrus clouds help a lot for the overal presentation....i like this a lot, excellent.

Hooooooooooooooola.

Sólo de pensar de estar ahí arriba me muero la verdad. Eso si, celebro que otras saquen fotos así claro.

Tema finde 23-24. Igual viernes tarde estaría libre (tendria que saberlo) y sábado a partir de mediodía seguro (comida en el "tapas" de siempre). Ya lo hablaremos.

Hi Nikki,

Nice moment captured here - I like how the arms are starting to raise, the front part of the roller coaster is at the apex and the front riders can see the drop - it's kind of like they are doing a static "wave" with their arms. Nice light on the tracks. I used to like those roller coasters until I got stuck on one - in an upside-down position! Never again will I go on them...

I never thought of an image of an amusement park ride can be made so beuatifully, I love the abstract quality and the lines and curves that make this composition really good. The excitement is really clearly capture though we don't see the people's face. I like the natural colors and tone, not overly saturated in pp. thanks

Oh my goodness, this makes me nauseous just looking at it! Like Henk, I'd never ever get into one of these, not even for a million Euros. Oh well, maybe for a million, yes, but definitely not for less. ;o)
Superb shot, very dynamic - and the light caught on the structure is simply magnificent.

Yea... I miss things like this. It's been a while since I last got on one.
Really like the minimalism of this one, but full of expression, which, almost literally "screems" out of the photo. The sun reflexion in the Silver Star is also a nice addition.

Bonjour, Nikki. Une photo qui exploite bien les lignes et les courbes de l'attraction. Tu as déclenché au bon moment quand le wagon arrive au sommet de la courbe, on voit même les premières personnes lever les bras vers le ciel. Le tout se détache bien sur le beau ciel.

Hi Nikki, I love this array of exciting curves and lines and the light on them. One can easily imagine or remember (as in my case) what a thrill it is or must be to ride this thing. The body language of some passengers also seem to hinyt at this. Fab !

Quel parfait timing pour figer cette scène, les wagons étant parfaitement positionnés dans ton image. J'aime aussi comment tu as ancré la structure dans le coin inférieur droit, ce qui démontre une composition soignée.

Tu bénéficiais d'un ciel parfait pour mettre en valeur le manège et ce kick de lumière sur le rail est sublime.

A quel moment précis serez-vous en Amérique et quel est votre itinéraire? Si tu veux me donner de plus amples détails, n'hésite pas a me faire parvenir un message a l'adresse suivante:

The perfect decisive moment. I literally can see all the people ready to plunge down the rail. The people in the front row already see the descent and raised their arms, the second row is starting to see it too and have the arms at midlevel, the third row have the arms even lower bust starting to raise and the rows behind are still in the ascent, hence arms down. Simply great moment to get this and the tight crop is absolutely amazing. No element whatsoever to distract from the main thing.

Chère Nikki! Have a wonderful ride over the big pond, the trip always begins when you step into the aircraft and sometimes look out of the window what is below you. You are very welcome with the book, but you don't have to bring me anything, just enjoy and return with good photo material, this is gift enough.

I am a little scared of such rollercoasters but I must admit, sometimes I try it, and I sceeeeeeeeeeam ... Fantastic picture, it has everything in it that shows the fun, and the pain, it is almost empty and still filled with joy. Enjoy the wild west, see you later, Barbara.

Beaucoup de très bonnes choses, parfois du marietom, parfois du eversmile, souvent du cherryripe et bcp de personnalité
en particulier je ne peux pas résister à ce graphisme, çà me rappelle le temps très lointain où je faisais des maths et traçais des courbes ...!
