Yes, it is indeed African beauty with friendly smile. It looks like she sells vegetables on the market. An excellent portrait good quality colors, light and sharpness.

bel sorriso naturale, hai ottenuto un ottimo ritratto.
Funzionano bene anche i colori che la circondano, forse stona un po' la parte destra e per questo avrei preferito dargli un taglio quadrato cercando di eliminare più possibile quella parte. Ma come sempre, è questione di gusti, la foto l'hai fatta tu e la mostri come meglio credi.

She appears to be smiling with her eyes, too!

Such a close-up works very well, giving the viewers a close eye-to-eye connection with the lady.

Lovely the way she is 'posed' indicating her jovial mood, the radiant expression and eye interaction. It's strong, dignified and beautifully shot certainly makes her real proud.

Frankly you should consider using shallowest dof excluding all distractions in bg, alternatively changing of viewpoint, softening or diffusing the distraction may also work. Good attempt nevertheless, Congrats
