Photographer's Note

This morning we visited the Henryk Arctowski Polish Antarctic Station located on King George Island the largest island in the South Shetland Archipelago. We were allowed into one of the buildings however before entering we had to take our boots off. The crew on our ship help us with our boots and here we on our own to struggle with the task!

Walking around I saw the following fauna: Adélie penguins and Antarctic Cormorants. Also Blue and Fin Whale bones along the rocky beach. As for flora I saw both of Antarctica's flowering plants; Antarctic Hairgrass and Pearlwort.
