This photo shows an ordinary quite sunrise at the Caspian sea near the village Alyat (70 km south of Baku).

To the right there is an island visible. This island reflects an mud vulcano. Azerbaijan houses 80% of all the mud vulcanos on earth.

The soil contains a very thick layer (3 km) of mud. In this mud a lot of gas is captured and once a while this is coming to the surface with huge flames.

At that moment the picture will look a little more spectaculair.
