Photographer's Note
We were travelling on a public ferry boat between Tahirpur and Mymensingh and stopped during the three hour journey for lunch. There were 12 other people (all locals of course) on our boat including the boatman and son. During the first hour we had had 12 pairs of eyes on us, watching our every movement. No one had dared to try to talk to us.
Whilst we all stopped and drank tea we saw this young boy making samosas and bought all that he had made, enough for everyone on board and a couple over. What a lunch - fresh and hot.

Hi dear Elaine
Another so tasty human story daily life shot.
So sharp and clear presnetation in the best framework and composition. His severe expression is so touchy.
All the best and have a good day! Takero

Hello Elaine,
Samosas are among the things I miss most from South Asia. They can be found in restaurants here but it's never the same. Although this young man isn't looking at you it is another good photo in your "everlasting" series of portraits of people working in the streets. Wonderful light and plenty of typical things to watch.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Elaine
Samosa time…mmmm, a very hot favourite snack even in Singapore. Here's a picture that tells a story. You have carefully included all the important elements as expected from yourself, while maintaining an interesting composition. One can only imagine the sight which you were able to witness and smell in this wonderfully diverse country conveying the mood perfectly! There is something really moving about this image,, Great street photography, Congrats and tfs.
Best wishes

The moment timely captured - the man's gestures making a samosa. This is quite a story, you made 13 people happy this time: him and the 12 boat passengers.
Best wishes

Hello Elaine
Great story, and a greater photograph. Street photography at its best. I love it: the muted colours, the unselfconscious pose of the samosa seller, the details of his workplace and tools of trade. Proper social documentary image.
