‘Bandar Seri Begawan - The Jame’Asr Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque’
This time three pictures of the Jame' Asr Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque (and not the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque that has been featured so many times in the background of my other photos).
The Jame' Asr Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque can accommodate up to 5.000 worshipers, making it the largest mosque in Brunei.
The construction began in 1988 and the inauguration was on 14 July 1994 on the occasion of the sultan's 25th regnal year.
The mosque has 29 golden domes (smaller and larger) to honour the 29th Sultan of Brunei. That promises for when the sultanate lasts for a few more centuries :)
In 2020 I have already shown some picturess of this mosque. Here are three other photos.

Hello Paul,
No doubt very impressive and beautiful, and the interior view in WS #2 is interesting. (But where was the entrance to the minaret? There must have been one.) You used the trees well as frames and distributed the domes and minarets nicely.
Maybe everything is already free for the citizens, so the leaders feel they can spend more of their oil and gas money on yet another mosque?
Best regards,
Gert

Hallo Paul,

Three impressive pictures, Paul, but I'd choose the post the WS#2 as main picture - it is a remarable photo, no-less attractive are all of those in the series.
On the main photo, meticulously chosen the point to take this - balanced well with the trees and minaret, golden domes and blue sky aloft.
Have a nice new day,
Ike

Salut Paul,

Hello Paul,
Now we get to see a closer view of the mosque. The style and design are pretty, and I really like the symmetrical view of the entrance in the WS. It seems like there weren't any people around. You had the mosque all to yourself. :-) Take care!

Hello,
Spectacular decorations on that religious structure, for sure it's a landmark that you can't miss. Great colors, well taken postcard.

Bonjour Paul

Lep pogled, interesantan teskt ...
Lepa Dzamija i minaret.

Hi Paul,
The style looks pretty similar to the mosque in previous upload. Quite impressive mosque and on a beautiful location in a park. You framed this scene well with the minaret near the right edge.

Hello Paul.
The truth is that this beautiful mosque offers many photos from its different angles, in this one its golden domes and the wonderful minaret take center stage, all that trees add a lot of charm to the composition.
Sharpness, lighting and color, are perfect.
Well done. I like very much.
Have a good weekend.
Very best regards.
Luis.
P.S. Indeed, the photo you told me of the Reina Sofia museum corresponds to the most modern addition.

Hello Paul With these golden domes the mosques from Brunei that you show us here look similar. Here the mosque itself is hidden but we can see the minaret looking as made from porcelain. Lovely view of the park with the fountains.
Best regards MAlgo

Hallo Paul
Another nice mosque with wonderful warm cold colour contrasts between the blue sky and golden domes. Good sharpness and plenty of shady trees. It's always hot and humid in Borneo! Tfs!

Hi Paul,
I am glad that you pointed out from the beginning that this is not the same mosque, I already wanted to write that I am able to recognize this mosque, ha ha.
I do see two quite different minarets.
Nice angle, very attractive architecture. It seemns there are more of these beautiful structures in Brunei.
We can learn so much about this country from your reportage,
Excellent work,
M
