4.34 p.m. - This is another shot I took at Serasa Beach. It is not sunset yet as it is still too early and the sun will start to set only around 5.45p.m. The sun is hidden behind the thick grey clouds on the left. Surprisingly, the right portion was quite clear, allowing the sunlight to show and casting a soft subtle orange tone along the horizon. It also created the highlight on the water surface. The three boats moored along side gave a perfect opportunity. So I love boats and find it hard to shrug it off. One of those liking that you continue to hold on from childhood days.
To make the scene more dramatic I saturate it one stop in order to accentuate the orange and then smoothened slightly with Super Smooth filter.

Hi Aloysius,
A very well composed shot with many subtle and pleasing tones. I love the ambience created by the soft orange sky and light on the water, mingling with the orange band in the larger boat. The trees jutting into the frame on the right help balance and enhance. Great ambience here, Aloysius. Congrats on this shot.

Hi Aloysius,
A very placid place with the small boats in foreground, always a very difficult picture with backlight but very nice successfully, it dark parts forest give a good contrast against the sky.

I suppose you needed some noise reduction to transform this picture into this lovely impressionistic painting. This composition could be the choice of Seurat.
I love it. Maybe I cropped a few cm from the bottom side.

Everything when you put your time in the text accompany the photo, I would go, wah!
So, early in the afternoon, and the sky is turning grey into night.
Well, anyway, you have done quite an impressive work to out in some saturation to make the image more dramatic.
You can use the color selection to increase the color of orange/red.

I like the peaceful feel of this composition, Aloysius, and the interesting light that you have captured. The increased saturation works well, but I am not so sure about the 'Super Smooth' filter - but I suppose that is a matter of personal taste. Cheers . . . David

You capture a very pleasant mood here! The sky gives beautiful reflections in the water, and I like the lines in your composition... I don't mid the filter use as it lends some paintlike effect to your creation...

Hi Aloysius,
I am also very fond of boats; I especially like the angle your chose for your compo, it puts the large boat in a good position to appreciate its graceful shape. Wonderful light and color that is reflected like gold in the water. I might have cropped similar to Rob's suggestion.
