I've not been around for long, so here some flowers!
This little girl sells them outside a small temple, in Phnom Penh...

Je me suis fait rare ces temps ci, voici donc quelques fleurs...

The warm tones are very pretty. I like the excellent focus on the flowers but with her smile still visible. Good framing and very evocative image of the life in this country. Thanks Laurent :-)

I thank you one more time for your kind friendship at Phnom Penh and your profile page to include a word called 'trekks' on it. It has been a good part of my trip. I have seen more shooting done by you and waiting for your next post, so finally you chose a flower :))

In your own style you noticed the girl with the tray of flowers and rather than the girl your focus on the flower yet still able to bring a soft image of a smiling girl to view. This is the best way to show what DOF means and you have done it to your advantage. I like the cheerful smile and the colorful presentation of flowers.

A most natural form of Cambodian hospitality showing warmth. Great job!

Hi Laurent, I find your composition slightly unusual as the little girl is blured in the background, most people would try for only the girl in focus or a larger DOF, however this photo & your decision to go for a focal point of the beautiful orange flower makes for a refreshing change, the light is excellent & great colour, TFS, kind regards Wilson.

C'est vrai que tu es avare de posts ces derniers temps... Mais voci un portrait très original. J'aime cette idée de mettre en valeur ces fleurs très nettes à l'vanat-plan et de laisser la fillette dans un léger flou. Idée orginale et très réussie.

Hello Laurent,
This is a daring approach which reverses what most stereotype photographers would do. Its a creative approach and I would honestly said that you have done it very successfully, with the girl's facial expression clearly visible while the focus is on the flower which of course is you main subject here.
I appreciate this kind of work, Laurent.
