Photographer's Note
This father and his children were in a makeshift market near the Angkor Wat complex. For me personally, this shows the comfort and security that a father can provide to his children. On a technical level, I would have liked to have the boy looking at the camera.

it is really a lovely photo, well taken. it is even better that he does not look at the camera giving more relaxed emotions. i like the way the father keeps hand on his boy, very charming.

lovely is also the word that defines this the best way, in my opinion. Every one gets a diferent expression, all beautyfull. About the shot itself, well focused, nice colors, sharp and well composed. Great job.

A nice family group and I don't find the light area to the right of the father's head particularly distracting. Cropping out the table on the right hand side would remove one area I do find distracting, but would also remove the triangle of the hammock which I like! It would probably also disturb the balance of the overall picture.

This is a lovely familyportrait where you also can see part of their home. Like Keith I have been thinking about cropping the sides, that would concentrate on their faces but lose some of the home feeling. Hard to tell what is best.

I really like this shot Terry, and I have enjoyed most all of your shots so far. Being familiar with the area, one of the things I like here is that although these people are likely very poor off by our standards, they are happy and their family has a strong bond. I have found this with so many of the families around Angkor. Your shot passes this along well. Technically, a very nice use of fill flash. Without it, I think this shot would be a loss.

I call this a charming shot. Very very well-placed. It's sharp but it looks soft. I don't know...maybe it is the use of the light angle.

Very lovely photo. He seems very proud of his son and daughter, and she has an adorable face. Nicely captured.

terry, sorry to see you have uploaded only 4 pix in 10 months, as yours are very good, and it comes thru your pix that you care about the people you shoot.

A very warm portrait that I would have liked to have captured. Well seen and lovely work.
