What a hard work to build and cultivate such fields! It is a great, ejoyable landscape for tourists to see handreds of kilometers so maintained. And I ask myself how long shall we admire this wonderful landscape, and when farm workers will invent a modern way for they job.

Fantastic point of view, Livia, which gives us a great view of these beautiful terraced fields. The lines in your shot are wonderful, and the colours well saturated. Good light too. Very nice work. Also - I like and agree with your note.

Often when I try to shoot such vistas I end up with disappointing flat chunks. Your framing of this photo
leads the eye down the canyon as the brilliant green terraced fields and mirrored ponds fade into soft blues with only hinted terraces. It really captures the grandeur of this vista. I'll remember this photo the next time I try for a grand vista.

Thanks for your kind words on my experimentation with rain drops.
Plimrn compared a similar picture of mine to yours and now that I have looked at it, you have done a far better job.
Somebody sent me a bunch of such pictures of China recently and I was astounded by their beauty. What amazes me the most is the hard work that goes into maintaining these fields and I appreciate your concern about it in your note. Thanks.

a good point you make here, I mean, a good question you raise -- locals have a hell of a job, visitors (and we, TE users, thanks to you) gaze a wonderful sight... for how long?
