Photographer's Note

The Sacred Way is located close to the Ming Tombs where 13 Ming Emporers were interred. The shot shows the stone animals, of which there are 12 sets. Every other set are kneeling to allow for the changing of the guard, according to legend. Each animal is carved from a single block of stone. Behind the animals are human statues of ministers, generals and officials.
This was a beautiful, tranquil place to visit.

Happy New Year to you all. I haven't visited the site for a while but it is good to be back!
