Photographer's Note
A walk around the grand budha state and its stairs offer the opportunity to see the nice bodhisattvas statues.
Few tour companies offers day-tour from HK to Lantau to visit the Cheung Cha Beach, Tai O fishing village, this temple of Po Lin.

Hello Flavia,
A superb composition very well balanced with the statues on the left and the moutains in the background.

F.

This is what composition means Flavia.
A mid noon shoot, and the subjects inhaling oxygen are carrying umbrellas.
These subjects have come here to see the majesty of Lord Buddha, whose scuptures vibate the atmosphere with light divine.
The overcast above the mountain range and the diagonal perspective of the star case make me travel along with.

Looks like a great place to visit - with those mountains for a backdrop. The tourists included remind us that this is a popular tourist attraction.
Cheers,

Hi Flavia, your view is a traveler's companion in the form of a memory snapshot. Ok there are some lighting problems, but...
a) your POV shows depth and quality perspective,
b) you have positioned your subjects in the right way pleasing to the eye.
c) you had difficult sky conditions, the clouds came almost white/gray with no interest up there.
Almost none of this is entirely your fault.
My suggestions:
a) a polarizer!!! (try HOYA Pro 1 Digital)
b) a little sharpness after you resize the photo for TrekEarth (you decide the parameters)
c) if you can visit the place in the morning or in the afternoon and take another try.
I could suggest even more, but start with these. You have good equipment, try using lightroom before photoshop.
Nick
