Photographer's Note

I got up early to see the sunrise, but there were already hundreds of people in front of me, I have no place to stand at the look out point. So I went over to ther other side where the sun shine at the mountain with the amzing cloud spilling over the mountains. As you can see there were some snow and frost on the trees already in October and it was cold in the morning.

Huangshan, translated Yellow Mountain (with the morning sun shining at it seem appropriate for the name) is a mountain range in southern Anhui province in eastern China. The area is well known for its peculiarly-shaped granite peaks and pine trees. Frequently shrouded in mist, the many peaks appear to float above the clouds. The development of walking tracks and cable cars makes this landscape accessible to all active travelers.

Huangshan is a frequent subject of traditional Chinese paintings and literature, and now modern photography.
