In a traditional temple, prayers are written on a piece of paper, placed inside a incense-spiral and hung up. As the incense burns, the prayer is carried towards the heavens.

Ok. Here of course you have a problem of DOF, where the focus is on the far object but not on the object in the front. Unless it was your intention, I find it less pleasant to look at.
I would also crop 4 cm from the top to leave out the rusty horizontal bar.
I think this is a perfect picture for TE, as it teaches us something we didnt know about different cultures, religions etc.
