Kolkata Lights at Twilight, a photo from West Bengal, East

Photographer's Note

This is Kolkata. In fact the second main bridge called the Vidyasagar Setu which links the two mainlands of the city between which flows the Ganges.

As I see this picture,I wish its glory is restored and political and economic amity prevails, than what it going through today.

The shot could have been better but this was without a tripod, holding my breath hard to avoid shakes.

I like the pink color in this photo, and the lights of the bridge reflecting in the water. I think the silhouette of the leaves in the top left corner adds a nice touch to the scene, too.

Hi

Good one. As far as Kolkata is concerned its very tough to take a night snap and u cud never expect to get the snap without a pinch of smog. Do not expect Kolkata will look like River Thames at Marlow.

I am OK with the shot and its very natural. Only a small suggestion from my side. It would have been better if more supporting subjects cud have been added in the frame like lighted boats lined up in the ghats.

Hello Satyakki, Without a tripod it think you have done extremely well, I hope you are not still holding your breath ;-)))). I think the colour works well & is eye catching, sharpness is more than OK, it's good, I like the silhouette on the top corner, the reflections are excellent, I wonder if the bright light was not there or a different colour, would it be an improvement? maybe.
