Photographer's Note
Don't ignore, don't misunderstood, don't treat them badly or keep them away. Their obsessions and urge is just natural like ours.
At times human behavior is very puzzling and hypocrite in nature. Individual personal bias is not necessary towards homosexuality which leads to mental trauma. Live and let live.
The 1929 musical Bitter Sweet by Noël Coward contains another use of the word in a context that strongly implies homosexuality. In the song "Green Carnation", four overdressed, 1890s dandies sing:
“ Pretty boys, witty boys,
You may sneer
At our disintegration.
Haughty boys, naughty boys,
Dear, dear, dear!
Swooning with affectation...
And as we are the reason
For the "Nineties" being gay,
We all wear a green carnation. ”
—Noel Coward, 1929 , Bitter Sweet

The image is really good, Anindya, you've seen and composed very well the scene, as well as the beautiful light under the tree. I just don't agree with your title and note: why not "lonely guy", why putting someone into a category...it's like saying "he is black", "he is white", "he is Italian", "he is African"...there are people and people, but, in my opinion, if we label them since the beginning, that is the first step for discrimination.

Hello Anindya,
I like the composition here. The light under the tree is just ambient and I like the shade on the man. What I don't like is the light on the top tree branches - which I feel is too much and distracting me.The photograph is meant to tell a story through your caption and note and you are able to do so with this composition.

Hello Anindya, Not sure where to start, your title, note or photo. Photo is excellent in composition, clarity, colour & light. Not sure about the title for the reasons that Rikk stated more than anything else, as he said it is when we begin to label people that we start to discriminate. Would it not be a better place if we were not concerned with people colour, religion, political views, sexual preferences, education, rich or poor. perhaps that would be too idealistic. A "lonely guy" I think would have been more appropriate. I like your photo, well done. Not motive, I don't know, not sure what your intention was.
Thanks
Take care

My Dear Anindya,
Great Light Management.Composition to me also is good though i would have preferred to keep the left side lesser. Can I most humbly take the liberty of telling you something. An example? "I am vegeterian. Assume that the picture is mine. And you assume you have given the title LONELY VEGETARIAN. How does it feel? Will your behavior to me change just because i have a particular taste & preference? Homosexuals hide from us and we call them 'hypocrites' not because they want to, they do so because they are afraid of us. We do not 'let them live.
Sorry for telling you all this.
Responsible Photography is all about being sensitive to issues around us and bringing them out responsibly.
Most Apologetically,
Satyakki
