Photographer's Note
This is a scanned slide which I've found among my old collection of photos and negatives as I am trying to digitize my collection.
Here is a photo of a potter who is happily working on his design on earthen bowls. Time was few days before Saraswati Puja. Saraswati , the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom, she is the goddess of culture in Hindo mythology. Badal, the potter was getting ready with his collection of Saraswati statues and the necessary earthenware for the celebration. He was working late to keep up with the demand.

Hello Pranab
It's a beaitiful and colourful shot indeed. It brings back memories of my childhood. I would like it to be a bit sharpened though. The images of Saraswati are gorgeous

The atmosphere of the preparations of a festival is well reflecting in this shot.
The subject is well prominent in this capture.
I have a little hesitation about the light, but it may be due to the scanning.
The man expressions are very much there ,even though there is low light .

He love his work. pottery is vogue in iran too. and teenagers train in art schools. earthenware and ceramic are lovely and nostalgic. they are in eastern countries more by nature.
I admire the composition and lighting. albeit it be scanned photo.

Hi Pranab.
There is a problem with the scanning, but if don't mind you make an interesting photo where you captured very well the main scene (really the only scene) with the man working.
Nice work.

Hi Pranab,
Nice coloured photo. The man on the image seems so calm and happy doing his pottery. I like the shapes captured by your photo and the relaxing ambiance (so diffrent of the usual ambiance of working places we are used to have).
Nice shot.

Hi Pranab
This is excellently composed. The man's work and life are well conveyed here. I went to see some pottery making when I was in Kolkata last year, it was a great experience. They were also making statues of Mother Theresa. Good social and every day life shown here. Well done.

Hi Pranab,
Nice colors. I like the red colored pots. I remember in Paksitan, we have similar types with some designs on them and people used them to cook food but not anymore....
The pic is a bit blurry though...maybe you could increase the sharpness.
