Photographer's Note
Lizards are a very large and widespread group of squamate reptiles, with nearly 3,800 species.
Lizards range greatly in size from the miniature Dwarf Gecko to the massive Komodo Dragon. Most lizards are completely harmless to humans even if bitten by one, while a few lizards contain venom such as the Mexican Beaded lizard and the Gila Monster.
Most lizards rely heavily on body language, using specific postures, gestures and movements to define territory, resolve disputes, and entice mates. Some species of lizard also utilize bright colors, such as the iridescent patches on the belly of Sceloporus. These colors would be highly visible to predators, so are often hidden on the underside or between scales and only revealed when necessary.

Nice Capture and composition. I colors are very vibrant and vivid. I love the pose of the lizard. I would have liked the green plants to be a little bit less saturated. Its only a personal opinion. I regret all my smilies are exhausted for the day else I would have given you one. I owe you one now. I liked the note too.

Hello Sanjiban,
One advice for future, takes F/8 or F/11 you shall see that the lizard shall are sharp and the background little bit blur
A quality picture is very nice also the colours.
What a lovely summer picture!
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Hi Sanjiban,
Beautiful creature. Nice capture though in my opinion it should be sharpened a bit more. John have given you a very good suggestion about this. But I like your composition. Colours are a bit over saturated but I think it looks good here. Nice photography. The note is also superb. Tfs.
Best regards.

Hi Sanjiban
Reasonable sharpness and dof, with excellent color contrasts, between the red backed lizard, & the green bg. Tfs!

Hi Sanjiban!
I love lizards, cameleons, iguanas...and I am interested in Komodo dragons! I think they are very interesting animals, especially as they seem to be the oldest on Earth, making the link between the amphibians that were alive when there was only water on earth, and when they started to grow legs in order to live on the ground!
Your photo is great with this orange-headed lizard against the lovely, slightly blurred background!
Thanks for sharing!
Hope you are fine!
Marie Louise.
