Photographer's Note

This was taken on a lovely evening nearing sunset in November at the Lal Qila, or Red Fort, in Old Delhi. This particular part is called the Khas Mahal, or the emperor's private quarters. This photo was taken off to one side of the Khas Mahal, and it's one of my absolute favorites from my entire three week trip.

The Delhi Lal Qila (not to be confused with a similar fort of the same name in Agra) was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jehan, who is most famous for building the Taj Mahal.
