Photographer's Note
A young man playing Ravanhatta near Jaswant Thada, Jodhpur.
The Ravanhatta is a rustic Indian fiddle, considered the most primitive ancestor of the violin and Rabab. According to a legend, it was invented in 3000 BC by Ravana, king of Sri Lanka.
The bowl is made of cut coconut shell, the mouth of which is covered with goat hide. A "dandi", made of bamboo, is attached to this shell. The principal strings are two: one of steel and the other of a set of horsehair. The long bow has jingle bells.

Namaste dear Vishal,
This place looks very attractive, and the young player is expertly caught there with beautiful colour.
I like this vivid high saturated colour, reminiscent of slide film.
Best wishes, Hisashi

Hi Vishal. A photographic lesson for a musical instrument. Unfortunately you can not hear the music. Your photo reminds me of the beautiful exotic India. Your Photo is a good contribution to TE. Rgds, Wolfgang.

Hi Vishal!
Guess I haven't visited this place when I was in the city. Unfortunately, time is never enough for everything. A good scene with this player in foreground and the old architecture in background. This instrument is really worth a photo! Colours are very good!

Hello Vishal,
The typical image, and this portrait are beautiful and interesting. I like the position of the musician who gives depth and allows to see clearly, but unfortunately not his musical instrument. Good picture quality. Bravo.
Have a nice day.
Cordially.

hello Vishal

Hello Vishal,
I like very much this composition and the way you worked with your slightly upward point of view and the perspectives. The musician and the picturesque setting in the background are very well connected, depth and clarity are great. The shadows hide some detail but are atmospheric, the colours are brilliant. A detail I particularly like is the presence of a group of people on top of the elegant wall. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,
Ourania
