Photographer's Note
Whilst I was in Pushkar Market (about 2 hours drive from Jaipur) in India I saw this sight. This was a very busy marketplace even though you can’t tell it by looking at this picture. I would hear the moans and groans of these deformed beggars before I would see them, and then all of a sudden the crowd parted around this object on the road and walked around it as if he were just another obstacle to step over.
Comments regarding composition, colour, etc etc are welcome. However please don’t be too harsh with your comments as it was heartbreakingly difficult for me to take this picture. It was captured as the camera hung around my neck.
