Photographer's Note
These donkeys were crossing the road after Malling nallah, on our way to Kalpa from Kaza in Himachal Pradesh. I stopped my car, and was talking to them, advising them how to cross the road, and wait for traffic to go and then start crossing.
It seemed that they listened patiently, even posed for a couple of shots, then moved on. I think they liked us.
There was an electric wire going all across the landscape, and was captured in this photo as well. I had to remove that using photoshop. Then corrected the photo with auto-levels to get the end result.

The use of fill in flash would be very helpful for this shot ... not much detail to see of the donkeys. The background landscape & exposure is wonderful. Regards. Latiff.

Hello Harsh,
Those guys pose so nicely!
A funny scene in a dramatic setting, showing a slice of life in this remote place...
I made a quick workshop to bring more light to their faces, and next time you should include all of the feet!
Greetings,

Interesting photograph. The presence of life amidst such rough and rugged terrain of Spiti is well thought of. But I too agree with Latiff the animals are a bit too dark.
Regards,
Paromita
