Photographer's Note

The Form, Feeling & Method of protests in India is seeing a sea change. The Protestants too are not senior citizens but the 40% percent of the Indian population - the generation below 35 years.

The recent incident of Bus Rape has shook India so much that its echos were heard internationally. It was so brutal that every man was ashamed of his biological identity and every woman felt vulnerable.

Vivtims have been nabbed but the answers to the following questions are still at large:

1) Will the ancient Law be changed?
2) Does the Govt know how to communicate with the Governed?
3) India is not the most unsafe place in the world, so is the impatient young generation driving Legislation in haste?

The above picture is that of a Artiste Group of Protesters protesting peacefully against the Delhi Rape.

Hello Satyakki,
I also like this post which is very much relivant in this moment for India, for mankind. Thanks a lot to post it. Hope the Govt. will take proper steps for it... Hope the moral character of us will build up...

It was a very sad day in the informed world when the news of the medical student made it in the media. Your photo and essay shows that the young woman will serve as a martyr for changing behavior, not only in India, but also in the rest of the world.
