Photographer's Note
‘Mumbai - In and around Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus’
There are several train stations in Mumbai and one of the most busy is the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus.
There’s also a bus terminal next to it.
Three daily life-pictures taken in the railway station or at the entrance of the busstation.
This time not the classic photos of the Gothic building (which may still follow) but pictures from everyday life.

Hi Paul,a different pic this time showing us the busy life in the streets of Mumbai, with the bus as the and the people as protagonist. The bus is the main attraction of the composition, with its old style and the typical rich and bright colors, great idea for a lovely pic. Have a good night and thanks,Luciano

Hi Paul,
I would not have expected an English style double decker bus in India, but then again it was a British colony for over 300 years. Plus they have the population and need to transport twice as many people as a 'normal' bus. Good sharpness and the blue and red colours contrast well. Tfs!

Colorful picture of the bus and the surrounding area, Paul.
The preence of people, travelers, around it enliven the scene. "Filled" well the whole photo with the tree and building behind.
Have a nice sunday,
Ike

Bonjour, cher Paul,

Hello Paul, As the keen traveller I love to be at the airports railway stations and bus stations. Interesting set of photos. Nice bus, rather civilized. I remember buses where the people travelled on the roof. It was fun to see.
Nice colourful pictures.

Hello Paul,
If I remember correctly this station (which I can't really think of as anything but Victoria Terminus) was one of the scenes for the terrorist attack that mainly hit the Taj Mahal Hotel. (And another hotel, a popular restaurant, a Jewish centre and maybe two or three other places.) In this part of the city almost everything looks like London, so the bus surprises me. The double-deckers all used to be red, just like in London. Three good quality photos, showing the station and the street as remarkably clean and orderly.
Kind regards,
Gert

Dag Paul,
Mooi foto werk, bedankt.
Prettige zondag verder,
John.

Hallo Paul,

Hello Paul,
The photograph of the blue bus , the sign for Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. and your title sort of prepare us for the w/s but I was blown away by what I saw!
I was totally unprepared to see the tall pillars and the beautifully arched ceilings, it is beautiful.
The only thing I was prepared for was the hubbub, the number of people and the lively rush of passengers.
The buses in Mumbai are very different from those I saw in Pakistan, which were much older, single deckers, covered on colourful patterns and fringing!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Paul
wow! wow, how awesome is that to see the dog laying there among all the people...i wonder if all the people walking around gives the dog some sort of comfort in knowing he's not alone.
love the main photo as well, thats one hell of a bus, and that blue colour is really making a strong statement. we get a small glimpse of the building in the bg, but again, the bus is A+ cheers

Hello Paul,
I love that colorful bus, I wonder if it is a Tata. It is a shame that majestic building in the background looks so dilapidated.

Hi Paul,
I have just posted a picture of a train station and interestingly I have found one post in your gallery which focuses on the same subject of transportation.
The Bus is so very colorful almost as much as the ladies dresses in India. The terminus behind so very damaged which makes it a great subject for photography.
Very well done,
M
