Photographer's Note

Having stayed in Amritsar for one night only and catching an early train the following day, due to time restrictions, I wasn't leaving with many "nothing special" photos of the Indian side of Punjab (as opposed to the Pakistani side I had visited in 2016). However, I like this image I took at the station, on the cold January morning, as I was about to continue my whistle-stop tour of the Subcontinent.

Just like everywhere, you can see a bit of old and traditional as well as modern India here - would you expect to be able to pay this food vendor by credit card? And yet you can see a QR code on his stall that would enable you to do exactly that.

I was thinking of cropping off the top part of the image, but those stairs and bridges are as much a typical part of Indian stations as trains and those vendors are.

No WS and not much of a story this time (but more to come). One person has already guessed (and one person knew so didn't bother guessing) where I was heading next.
