Photographer's Note

The history of Malabar dates back to the 1890 when the culture of Dutch began to flow into the highland of Pangalengan wich was known as the Swiss of Indonesia.
Malabar tea estate was established in 1896 and Karel Albert Rudolf Bosscha was the plantation’s first manager who choosed to be part of it, he died on the 26th November 1928 and was buried among his tea bushes in Malabar tea estate as he had requested.
The name Malabar is believed to come from the Arab language, meaning “Mal-“ for money, and “Abar” for a well or source.

Bonjour Julien,
La prise de vue est excellente tout comme la définition de l'image. Tu as choisi un angle de vue qui met en valeur aussi bien la cueilleuse de thé que la plantation qui semble se perpétuer jusqu'à l'infini. La composition est très efficace ici, avec les lignes ondulantes de la plantation qui donnent une bonne dynamique. Les vêtements de la cueilleuse, quant à eux, ajoutent une belle touche de couleur au paysage. Cadrage et profondeur de champ sont nickel. Une très belle photo.

Hello Julien.
A very impressive daily life photo, skilfully avoiding the subject looking straight at the camera. The composition is excellent, placing the harvester so far to the right and letting us see the enormous expanse of tea crops behind her. It's a good execution of HDR, perhaps just on the edge of being too much, but still keeping a natural look which could just as easily come from use of a CPL filter.
Good note, too.

Image intéressante d'une personne au travail, et quel travail! Le cadrage révèle la plantation sous un ciel encombré de cumulus et quelques autres ramasseurs au loin. Dommage que son regard soit dirigé vers la droite, car il fait sortir le nôtre rapidement de l'image.

Great shot of this photogenic location, an immense shot and I can breath the fresh air here! The charming tea pickers is lovely that adds so much to the tranquility of this wonderful matured green carpets. The contrast works fine in this bright sunny morning with mesmerising layers and textures on the slopes - the best parts of this shot. A pleasure to view, such a refreshing sight.
