Photographer's Note
In the previous post, I posted the plants that survived in the 'Domas Crater', this one is the main crater of Tangkuban Perahu. The height I stand when I shot this picture, is 1886 m above sea level. And that crater is about 50-70 m below.

Domas Crater
Technically, the sulfur gas and the mist, is so thick when I shot this. Therefore, I try to shot this with a slow speed. Since I have no tripod with me, I braced my camera into the fence.

This is an impressive picture of an amazing landscape - a volcano's crater. It's horrifying and beautiful at the same time. I think I'll never see something like this real in my life, therefore thank you for showing and the good note!

Whist the view is stunning I bet the smell of sulphur was dreadful. You are showing us an incredible sight. The composition is very good using what looks like old lava flow to lead our eye right into the frame and to the sulphur smoke.
