Photographer's Note

After I have seen Gert`s photo of Tanah Lot I had a look at my Bali archive and found this shot.
It shows how this place looks now,or better in 2012.
I wanted to go there in january 2003 and had already booked my flight from Bangkok to Bali.
But in october 2002 there was this horrible bombing in Kuta.
The attack killed 202 people (including 88 Australians, 38 Indonesians, 23 Britons, and people of more than 20 other nationalities). A further 209 people were injured.
So I changed my flight and visited southern Thailand and Malaysia.
I visited Tanah lot at my last day in Bali.I stayed the last night in Denpasar, the capital and international airport of Bali.I went there in the afternoon by taxi( about 20km).Arriving there we did need a few minutes to find a parking place. Then I had to walk through at least 50 Souvenier and streetfood stalls.
The entrance fee.My guidbook from 2011 says: 10 000 IDR, wiki pedia say now 60 000 IDR for foreigners = about 3.6 Euro.
It was a nice and interesting afternoon but too many people there.
When I ever can go back to Bali I should go there for sunrise, but I`m afraid that it will be crowded too.
