Photographer's Note
Met this 'Sasak' lady in Senaru village, north Lombok island and quite by chance found out she was concentrating so hard on her spinning in a small ramshackle wooden house-cum-workshop. That's almost a common sight in many households here, keeping old tradition alive.
This is the sort that I really enjoy seeing as well as taking - someone getting on with the work in the natural surroundings while I tried to stay true to what I saw.

What a lovely portrait. Lighting is perfect and the blur of the wheel adds a great deal.

Hello Abmdsudi,
A good photo from the inside of this dark house, where you still managed the light very well to show the woman working very hard and concentrated on her spinning. The motion blur of the wheel looks great.

Hello Abmdsudi, the woman is in perfect sharp focus as we look through the spinning wheel towards her.
She is totally concentrating on the task at hand, not distracted by you and your camera at all.
The darkness is managed extremely well.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Abmdsudi,
The spinning of the wheel created an interesting effect in the thumbnail. It made me want to open this photo and take a closer look. :-) Good job handling the difficult lighting. I like how the woman is even using her foot to work. Take care!

Hello Abmdsudi,
Nice motion blur of the rapidly spinning yarn threader. The spindle deftly held by the woman's toe is an unexpected sight! Tfs!

Hi Abmdsudi,
A superb shot of this lady spinning. Blurry motion of the wheel looks really nice. Good shot on low light. Her feet catch my attention too.

Hello abmdsudi,
This is a perfect portrait, where the subject not only 'exist' but involved in an activity, which is illustrated on the photo, by the moving wheel. It is so good that it goes to my favourites. By the way, what was the actual settings you applied?
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hello My friend
A perfect image for the life and times in Indonesia. Years ago they had books called the day in the life. America, china, Japan, and others. I have quite a few. This image would be a perfect candidate for such a book about Indonesia.

Hello Abmdsudi,
A difficult shot because of the lighting but you got it just right! Too much added lighting would have spoilt the atmosphere and detracted from the impression of the lady, concentrating so hard on her spinning.
What a treat to find this age-long activity still being practised.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)
