Photographer's Note

This was the place I pulled off in an early morning photo hunting trip after zig-zagging a mountain road on my rented motorbike. Simply admired this pleasing setting- a breath taking wide view of a very unique
rectangular terraced ricefields, the formation that I have never seen before, created by the indigenous 'Laongorat' people - the native inhibitant of Manggarai regency.

A zoomed shot from the best vantage point at Golocador near Ruteng, Flores Island before the light became too harsh.

Sometimes the detail is more interesting than the wider view. Please see a bigger picture in WS

Setting: 155 mm, 1/160 sec, F13, ISO Raw 100, 0654 hrs & polarised
