Photographer's Note
At the back edge of Roppongi Hills is a large back-lit wall with several huge digital numbers. I thought at first it was a clock but there was no pattern that I could see and the numbers changed too frequently. I believe that it is some sort of modern art.
I was with two friends and didn't have much time to dally but now I wish I had experimented with this unusual backdrop a little more.

An unusual image, simple and effective with lots of impact, the most striking thing for me is not the huge digit (which is very striking), but the silhouette of the right hand sitter, even in total shadow it's amazing how much information about the person, sex, female, age, say mid 20's to mid 30's, and race can be gleaned from such a small amount of visual information, it certainly says something for the power of the human brain!

Very interesting image. The starkness of the black and white objects throughout is made even more powerful by that digit, the digital number '7' which could symbolize many things. One minor thing, I wished the outline of the person sitting did not overlap the digit itself.

Very striking image. I like how you got some tone in the wall; the silhouettes are superb - the glasses and lips of one, the handbag of the other. Even your signature makes a good balance (hate that (c) symbol, though). Also, although I like the hard edges, there are halos, especially on the right figure's back. Is there anything you can do about that?

great shot. no argument the background makes the picture.b&w is perfect but the left silhouettes head is "touching" the digital number which is a bit disturbing for the eye..still lovely picture.

This is good stuff. Like a scene from some arty scifi movie. I dont think you could have done much better.

I think the little squares are making this shot as interesting as the digit itself. Very interesting shot.

This is the most incredible, original and outstanding shot that I've seen in a long, long time. Everything is in the right place here, from the characters to the digital numbers to your choice of B&W. I can honestly say that this is your best shot so far. Wonderful work.

Extremely original and attractive, Mike. I can't say why. Maybe the grey paterns in the background. But I absolutely love this.

Very nice photo. I wish the silhouette on the left was not overlapping the background.

right side character : prove that X(n)+Y(n)=Z(n) is not compatible with integer numbers when N is superior to 2. You have 7 seconds.
left side character : a huge question mark is raising up her head.
Great shot.

Escellent shot. too bad the digit touches the character...
about the numbers, well, could be birth/death rate or something? :)
maybe they wanted ppl to forget about time in this place - so they show a clock that doesnt mean anything...
loved the contrast :)

I was lead to this, because someone stole it, and someone else pointed out it was yours. Well a fine shot, using the silhouette with the clock display, a hame about the clash of that with the lady's head.

That's a nice high-tech-like shot. I love the background of course, but the characters contribute to it too. Very original b&w.
