Photographer's Note
This photo was taken in an area where many young punked out teens with crazy hair and outfits hang out. Although the punks were interesting to photograph, I found nearby scenes like this much more fascinating.
These regular school girls, with identical hairstyles (the current look) and similar clothing were engaging in the popular practice of cellphone emailing. The way they were standing silently in a circle was like a pod of aliens communicating with the mother ship. Very strange. They didn't notice me until my flash went off, and all were quite confused as to why I would want to take their picture.

Interesting shot, but would have been better (IMO) if top of heads were not cutted.

Looks like a cellphone ad of some sort. =) I would like a crop to the left though, it would probably make the phones more in focus. Anyway, a good shot even if it's not really my cup of tea...

this shot may not be technically perfect, but it made me snort with laughter. Good catch!

Ah, a quintessential Japan photo. Good shot. Nice unobtrusive use of fill flash too.
