Photographer's Note
Before I move on from George Town to my next destination in Malaysia, a sequence of pictures taken in Beach Street.
Beach Street is a major thoroughfare and part of the central business district in George Town, Penang, Malaysia. It is also one of the oldest streets in Penang, having been created soon after the founding of Penang by Captain Francis Light in 1786.
The concentration of Malaysian and international banks around Beach Street has made George Town the financial hub within northern Malaysia. In addition, Beach Street is within the UNESCO World Heritage Site, thanks to the colonial architecture of the bank headquarters and other commercial buildings along the street. Administrative buildings built by the British also once stood along Beach Street; however, these buildings were destroyed during World War II.
Beach Street was so named as it was once a coastal road, stretching along the eastern shoreline of George Town. Today, the shoreline has been shifted further east due to the land reclamation in the late 19th century; Weld Quay has since become the eastern coastal road in George Town.

Hello Stephen,
This is a very well painted mural and you have captured it so sharply that we can see how hard he is blowing on his trumpet!
I can't quite decide where it is situated.
Is it at roof level or ground level; I'm not sure if we can see roof tiles or street tiles.
Whatever, it is a good shot.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Bonjour Stephen,
Ce joueur de trompette semble très confortablement installé sur son mur pour jouer de son instrument. La murale est très belle. J'aime beaucoup la diagonale qui coupe l'image en deux.
Amicalement

Hello Stephen,
The flagstones would suggest that this was taken at street level. Good sharpness and a fine capture of this striking mural of the trumpet player. Tfs!

Hello Stephen,
I can think of only one way to make this picture even better. Then there should be a real street musician of flesh and blood play in front of this fantastic mural.
But just be so lucky that this actually happens. Like winning lottery.
Beautiful presentation.
Have a nice day, groet Rob

Hello Stephen, a subject that seems unusual for a large wall painting in a thoroughfare, but obviously painted with great skill and expertise.
Well managed light.
Thanks for sharing, regards Jean.
