Photographer's Note
Before I move on from George Town to my next destination in Malaysia, a last picture taken in Beach Street.
Beach Street is a major thoroughfare and part of the central business district in George Town, Penang, Malaysia. It is also one of the oldest streets in Penang, having been created soon after the founding of Penang by Captain Francis Light in 1786.
The concentration of Malaysian and international banks around Beach Street has made George Town the financial hub within northern Malaysia. In addition, Beach Street is within the UNESCO World Heritage Site, thanks to the colonial architecture of the bank headquarters and other commercial buildings along the street. Administrative buildings built by the British also once stood along Beach Street; however, these buildings were destroyed during World War II.
Beach Street was so named as it was once a coastal road, stretching along the eastern shoreline of George Town. Today, the shoreline has been shifted further east due to the land reclamation in the late 19th century; Weld Quay has since become the eastern coastal road in George Town.

Bonjour, cher Stephen,
Bien joué quant à la mise en image et au cadrage. Cela donne envie de gravir les marches et d'aller découvrir ce qui se passe en partie haute.
Bel effet de perspective.
Amitiés.

Hello Stephen,
Just some steps and something that I would probably not have dreamt of taking, or critiquing, a few years ago but, with experience of different styles and features, things change; I like this! I like the repetition, the converging lines, the patterns, the strong textures and colour co-ordination.
Since you could not include the whole lamp, at the right, it might have been useful to clone it out, but that is a small critique.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)
We've had some lovely Indian summer days but today, it is a bit grey and the forecast is for much colder weather!

Hello Stephen
A good upward pov of the stairs that direct the eye towards the blue haloed door at the top. Good sharpness and the fg red tiles and peeling paint add character. Tfs!

Hi Stephen,
You have captured well the wear of the steps. The length of the staircase is creating depth and perspective. The point of view is showing the details of the staircase. Have a nice day.

Bonjour Stephen,
Belle construction d'image. C'est bien symétrique même si cela semble pencher un petit peu vers la droite. J'aime les textures des murs. Mais le plafond semble bien bas rendu en haut.
Amicalement

Hello Stephen,
An intriguing photo. At first glance nothing special, but if you look better a number of things stand out. The bad state of the stairs and the walls in contrast to the modern lamps. The sloping ceiling, but most still the black box at the bottom of the stairs. WHAT IS IN IT?
Excellent work
Have a good weekend, groet Rob

Hello Stephen
Bien cadrer cette montée d'escaliers, les détails ancien et moderne, la texture des murs, la couleur des pavés que l'on retrouve sur les plaintes et les rampes, bonne réalisation
Bonne soirée
