Nagore dargha sheriff, at Chulia street within Georgetown's Unesco World Heritage Site, is the oldest Indian Muslim shrine on Penang Island. Built in the early 1800s, it is dedicated to Syed Shahul Hamid, a 13th century Muslim saint of Nagore, India. It is also one of the two Indian Muslim shrines built in the saint's memory in southeast Asia, the other being the Nagore durgha shrine in Singapore. Within Georgetown, it is one of the few remaining specimens of early 19th century south Indian Muslim architecture. Hello Miguel,
Green and white colors upon the mosque facade beautifully shown. The orange color of the car had given good contrast and the passing tourist perfectly captured against the entrance.
Altogether a fine photo.

Hello Miguel,
It's a nice and fairly small mosque with fine green and white details. The cars could have disturbed the composition, but the white pickup truck complements the façade well, and the dark orange car matches the yellow details quite nicely. The large version shows what a very sharp photo this is.

You managed really well to get this shrine into the composition, I like the low viewpoint you used, which includes the two people very well too. The green and white building looks very attractive, especially in this soft light.

Hello Miguel,
Green has a number of traditional associations in Islam.
Here it's used together with white to create beautiful variations in the exterior view of the mosque.
I remember a similar alternation but then of black and white at a large mosque in Kuala Kangsar. Perhaps you've shown this mosque already.
Located on a busy street in Georgetown, but nothing blocks the view of the mosque.
