The Rapid ferry is a shuttle ferry service within the state of Penang, connecting the city of Georgetown on Penang island and Butterworth on the mainland. This cross-strait transit has been operational since 1894, making it the oldest ferry service in Malaysia. Its fleet of six ferries carries both passengers and automobiles across the Penang strait daily ; each roll-on/roll-off ferry could accommodate cars either on its lower deck or on both decks. Hello Miguel,
How to spend your time on the ferry? Engage yourself in the workings of your mobile phone! They probably do it most of the time anywhere else too. The photo offers quite much to watch, not only people but also a lot of red details contrasting with the basically green interior.

Hello Miguel,

Seems a lot of people need to be surgically removed from their mobile phones these days. No doubt these commuters have seen the cross channel suspension bridge many times before and find the trip boring. Platform shoes might not be the best way to get around Malaysia. I might have cloned out the foot at right. Good sharpness and a nice square format. Tfs!

Watching people while traveling is intriguing subject to take photos, Miguel.
Faces expressions and poses always ,make an interesting sight.
Some backlight across the picture, but not a major issue here.
