Photographer's Note
This is very famous old bridge in Amarapura city, Mandalay. The bridge is more than a mile long and built only with Burmese teak. The bridge is named after "U Pein" who started the work. This photo was taken around 5:47 PM after waiting 1 1/2 hours for the sunset in the middle of the lake. I hired a boat and position the boat on the water about 30-50 ft from the bridge. No tri-pod. I took a total of more than 200 shots and it was worth the wait.
Did saturation, separate color adjust, sharpened and noise reduction in photoshop.

It sure was worth the wait, Way. Congratulations on a wonderful image. You must be a fast shooter to take over 200 shots. I'd like to see more of them. I realize you increased the saturation, but the colours here are stunning. Nice sharp sillhouettes. It's difficult to get a straight horizon from a boat, but you did it. The sun is in a perfect position, just before it disappears into the water. This is an excellent picture and worthy of a favourite.

I wish... that I did not run out of points for today, this picture is special, something rich in warm colors.
I will do my best to remember to return tomorrow.

your note is good because it explains what was needed to get the shot. Obviously the sharpness and colors are initially grabbing and exciting. But I cant help but think that the angle could be adjusted. Something about the way that the front pilons gradually obscure the back pilons from left to right bothers me. If a straight on shot was impossible due to the sun, perhaps positioning yourself so the pilons were at regular intervals would have helped compositionally. Its a small thing, you know, but just thought I'd throw it out there.

This is, of course, just beautiful. You say you took 200 shots - but with the sun sinking all the time, and the people moving over the bridge, they would all have been different. I have some shots from Myanmar in my portfolio - you might like to look - but this is really professional work.

Hello Way: This landscape is fantastic, I like it a lot, I love it.
I like the combination of the dawn with people in movement and activity, there is a sentence that is said: "To the one that gets up early, God helps him", the scenario is impressive, magnificent, the light and the shades are splendid, the reflection, the part human expressed many things besides the great activity, I like the movement and the elegance captured in the women that take the basket on its head, in the central part. Excellent composition, I added it to my favorite picture. Thank you to share it with us, congratulations. Cordial greetings. *Ninfa Urania*

C'est magique ! Les couleurs sont superbes et le pont est aérien, léger. Les personnes sur le pont donne du mouvement à l'ensemble même si la sensation de calme demeure. bravo
J'apprécie également votre note explicative

TE stamped picture theme ! Well done, this beautiful moment made me wonder where is this place with high tilt bridge built with only the basic tools!
Silhoutte of the people and the bridge added some much depth to this picture.
Patience does pay off...

Brings a tear to the old bridge designers eye, this one! Beautiful silhouettes agains the sunset. To me it is almost too saturated. And I think you can crop just a little at both sides, just take away the column on the left edge and the diagonal on the right edge and I think it will be even a little better.

Fantastic shot. One of the most enjoyable I have seen. After seeing ton's of sunsets at Trekearth and getting a little tired of them, this is to me a sensational shot. I an feel the atmosphere on the bridge.
Great colors also. Two points is too few for this one.

L'attente est un élément important en photographie. Il permet de sublimer le travail que l'on fait. Et l'instant où l'on sait que l'on tient la photo que l'on attendait est un moment très exhaltant. Félicitations !

Great sunset shot, I know what its like to take lots of shots over a short time period, you want to keep shooting incase the previous shot is the best of the bunch! I bet it was hard to decide on the best one from the bunch!
You certainly captured a moment here its great that there are so many people on the bridge, on bikes also! The sihlouettes are great!

This is beautiful. I like the orange light, the framing of the shot. I like the way you have been able to conceal the second row of pillars for most of the shot. It makes a dramatic impact on me as a viewer when I start looking at the details. For some reason the sky looks grainy.

Hi Way
It's an excellent shot, you've taken the effort and it has resulted in this outstanding image.
Just a though I have about the composition, I think it would have rather helped to have the Sun behind one of those pillars. Obviously, the people walking with head load and on by-cycle are the key interests and showing them more would have helped too. Just a thought, this is still wonderful nonetheless.
