The spectacular sunset on my Birthday at 15,000 feet in the Everest region of Nepal. This is probably my favorite image from my recent trip. More to follow!

Wow, what an amazing photo! The light is amazing here and I like the exposure on the water. So beautiful how the mountains in the background are basking in the setting sun. This must have been such a great experience and on top of that a great end on the day of your birthday! Excellent work, I love it!

Very Striking image. At once evocative, serene and dramatic. Impossible without a tripod and the patience to wait for the right light.

Two words- 'Simply Sensational'
The misty water from the long exposure miz well with the misty feeling around the base of the sunlit peaks. Superb composition, sharp detail, overall masterfully executed.
I'd be VERY proud to call this shot my own if I were you.

Very good speed in the shot, the water has an incredible visual effect. The Blue of the sky and the withe of the snow, makes a very fine contrast.

The point of view is very original, with that foreground.
The light on the mountain is amazing, and the clouds make like a frame around it.

Hello Michael,
You gave yourself a beautiful birthday gift. A perfectly rendered milky water flow in the foreground, and the fanatastic mountains pârtly lit by the sun. Light very well managed. And a good compositi_on too with most lines converging to a central point at the horizon.

Another Mad March Hare? What a fantastic photograph, spectacular. Everything is there and the flowing water looks so right. It's interesting that this is a sunset as the long exposure creates a sense of more light than there probably was.

It may be worth doing a travelogue of this trip - looking forward to seeing the other pics.

Michael, I am not a fan of soft water but this is a fantastic shot and easy to see how it could be your favorite. The exposure is perfect as I seee no indication that the mountain is ever exposed and still we can see wonderful detail in the deep shadows. Well realized, great capture.

Hello Michael,

I am impressed by your work on this photo. First the composition with a full deep of field, using the river as starting point to bring us discovering in background the high mountains. Then there is the long exposure shot with the blur on the water but more interesting the movement on the clouds. The good exposure with details in all level of light ended to provide this beautiful photo; the kind of photo I try to do.
