Photographer's Note

A group of fisherman is returning from fishing. At the dock, vendors were waiting to purchase their catch. I saw yellow tails, parrot fish, barracudas, and many others I could not id. I was happy to hear that the use of dynamite is no longer practiced in this village. The town mayor has educated them about conservation, and there's a hefty fine for violating this fishing rule.

Hi Danilo,
Lovely colours , a busy shot with a great DOF.I think something is missing in the shot, either it is not sharp, or slightly OOF, or the light on the fishermen is not adequate.
Still I love the composition, the body language, the effects of scorching Sun.

Marvelous shot dear, wow! the colours are excellent, and the light control is superb. But what I like most here is the composition. You have very well placed the boat in the foreground and the second boat a little further, giving a good sense of depth. It is having a 3D effect.

This is such an outstanding photo; the framing is wonderful. I really like the angle of the boat with it's reflection in the clear waters, the fishermen add great detail. I like the feel of the sunny light here well mannaged and deep colored by the filter to enhance a fine scene with this typical boat and people well placed to get an overview of the sea and the well textured cloudy sky, extremely fine mood.

The richly saturated colours make this a very striking image, Danilo, but the contrast is a bit strong for my personal taste. Sometimes I find when using a C-PL filter in lighting like this I have to back it off a bit otherwise the contrast is too strong. I know the temptation is always to go for maximum polarisation because it looks so good through the viewfinder! Cheers . . . David
