Photographer's Note

Two Igorot tribe elders at a 'bodong' (peace) festival, Mt. Province.

The man on the right is wearing a head dress with a wild pig tusk, a sports jacket (which Filipinos call Amerikana) over a loin cloth (not shown - but you see the bare thighs).
The bodong was held back in 1985 as solidarity by lowlanders with the Igorot upland tribe of Northern Philippines in their quest for autonomy from the then Marcos government.

This photograph was originally an Ektachrome slide which was scanned in high resolution (7200 dpi) and processed in Photoshop (autocontrast, autocolor and autolevels, smudge tool, gaussian blur, dust and scratches - all to remove dirt and scanner lines). Resized then clone stamp to remove remaining dirt then sharpened.
