St. Basil, a photo from Moscow, Center

Photographer's Note

St. Basil has become the symbol of Moscow, just as the Eifel Tower has become the symbol of Paris. It is at one end of the Red Square in Moscow, very colorful on the outside, but not very impressive inside (St. Isaac, for example, is much more grand). This photo was taken very late in the overcast Summer day, the sun broke through the clouds just above the horizon, so I had very orangey sunset light for this photo.

Hi, Sitthivet!
Khram (church) Vasilya Blazhennogo (Basil the Blessed) located on the Red Square (the left side of the Lenin's Mausoleum) is a very popular tourist attraction. You had an occasion to see it after a long years restoration, finally without scaffolidings. Excellent shot thanks dark-grey clouds covering Moscow's sky.

i like so much this kind of churches!they have sunch a speciall arhitecture and colours1and now in your picture they look even more beautiful because of the great light!

Nice, picture-perfect. I like how you've captured the contrast of light here. I don't mean to down play this place; but it reminds me of the disneyland song ,"Its a small world after to all". You know, I've never seen achitect from russian quite in this way. Bravo friend, thanks.
