Photographer's Note
Ancient (actually oldest) of Russian cities and first capital of Russia - Staraya Ladoga (Old Ladoga), stands on the shore of Volhov river 125 kilometers to the East from St-Peterburg. Now it's only a small village, with a fortress and two monasteries with 7 old churches, oldest are of 1164.
On the other side of the river in XVI century was a small monastery, named after St. Basil of Cesaria (or Kesaria?). Now there's a church remains, built in 1686, surrounded by the small cemetery.
To come there I crossed the frozen Volhov, in summer locals use some boats, maybe.
Photo is scanned, so its quality is not very high (and my quality of photographer is very humble, too).

Uhu - nice composition with the position of the tree and church, has potential but the overhead cables and the date stamp are unfortunate.
