Photographer's Note
This is the Changchun, or the Eternal Spring shrine. It was built to honor the workers who died while building the cross/island highway. Below you can see a bit of Liwu river.
Here is what is said about the building of highway in the "Trails of Taroko" booklet:
"The Central Cross-Island Highway runs between the eastern and western points in Taroko National Park. It is the first road to have been built that transverses the Central Mountains...Work on the project commenced July 7, 1956 and took 5000 to 6000 men working every day for more than three years and nine months to complete...Many segments of the road were built...by men using primitive skills and equipment. The dangerous work resulted in frequent injury and even death. A total of 212 men lost their lives and another 702 were injured."
Technical note:
I only slightly enhanced the luminance and the color intensity, to give more liveliness to the green color.
I hope you like it, Alan.

Breath taking and magical. You did an excelent job showing us the place with this nice picture.
Maybe I wouldn't saturate so much; perhaps a little more light on the trees would do the trick. But, look, it's great just like it is.

It must be really a special place. I like the architecture and the flowing waterfall.
The photo is well composed, you can admire the fine details in it. Like it.

Hi Alan,
This should have got more attention. I like it very much, the beautiful temple and water coming from under it. As in other parts of the world the temple must have been cosntructed because of the abundance of water coming from the mountain side.
