Photographer's Note
Sunset taken from the hill overlooking the sea at Kalim beach. I was trying to capture the sky and in doing so under-exposed the rocks to the right. I brightened these up in photoshop.
This is in the area of Phuket that was very hard hit by the Tsunami, but it looks peaceful as hell now.

Amazing shot with a grat depth of field to represet a very nice moment. We can admire the texture of the stones in the foreground, the breaking waves and the clouds running far away in a great sunset colors palette. The choice of the vertical frames suits very well to this place. Very well done !

Hi Wez,
This is an incredible landscape ! The colors are really nice and warm.
The framing is really great with the foreground rocks and the background sky. The sky is impressive especially the little clouds on the top right.
But I think that there could be two improvments. First, the picture lacks of contrast. You say that the rocks were under-exposed and that you lightened the rocks but I think that they are too grey. Furthermore, you selected a too important part of the foreground and you lightened also the bottom of the sky, which can bee clearly seen at its edge.
Second, the image is very soft and could be sharpened. I tried a WS to see.
Anyway, this is a great sunset !
Bravo !
Amicalement,
Michaël

nice composition.
What is the white line following the sky? This gives the impression that part of the image was processed in photoshop.

Hai Wez, the sea is like surreal and more like a painting. Color is saturated but nice.

Hi Wez. There must be dozens of sunset shots taken around Phuket on TE, but this is definitely one of the better ones, despite the PP problems you had. The white foam on the sea adds an interesting element to your composition. I think your PS skill level is about the same as mine, so I was interested to see the workshop that Michael did on this. The rocks don't look so 'flat', but on my monitor the white halo effect between the land/sea and sky is still there. Cheers . . . David

hey Wez, this is a nice atmosphere, good dof, and the sky in the background is spot on too. Looks a bit perilous on those rocks.
Well done : )

Serwus Wez !
You chose superb point of view for capturing this charming "moment" of the day. I like softness and clarity of Your Work even with white edges over the horizon and around the plants. I know it happened due to the brightening.
All the best,
Mat

Hi Wez,
Great sunset. The colors are great and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I like the halo effect in the coastline silhouette. However, it could be a bit more sharpenend like it is showed in baudinm WS.
Anyway, a wonderful shot.
