Photographer's Note

A very mundane subject showing a typical routine for this woman on her floating house and a simple snap shot of a moment of her life. Taken on overcast morning on Hau river, near Chau Doc, Mekong Delta.
What a different world from ours, but I couldn't imagine this house lasting longer here with all weather conditions!

Just a brief insight into the daily chores of delta people.

Setting: 200 mm, 1/1600 sec, F5.6, ISO 200, 0759 hrs

Hello Abmdsudi,
The photo is very well composed and divided between the wooden wall of the floating house and the woman at work near the edge of the water. Her bright yellow clothes stand out well from the background. Also the strip of water is well included in the bottom part.

Despite this being, as you say, a "mundane" subject your photograph is really very striking and is very thoughtfully and very pleasingly composed with the brightly dressed lady (whose face, interestingly, we cannot see) standing out brilliantly against a bright blue object behind her and she is placed perfectly in the right side of the frame, very nicely balanced by the blue panel in the bland grey decaying wall of her house on the left.

Your lighting is glorious, colours are rich, exposure perfect and details and sharpness exquisite.

An interesting note too.
